Inspiring Women Stories

Integrating the Gender dimension in BOOGIE-U project means incorporating a gender perspective into each I&E initiatives in HEIs as well as in the ecosystem to decrease gender gap and discrimination, increasing inclusion and fostering innovation.

ELISABET DEL VALLE

Dra. Elisabet del Valle, PhD in Biotechnology and MBA in Biotechnology, has devoted her entire professional career to the management of innovation in public and private organizations. Beyond her duties as professor at UAB, she is a co-founder at Onalabs Inno-Hub S.L. and at Cliclab Transformative Agent S.L.
Her research focuses on the methodologies that measure and quantify social impact. In addition, she also analyses the socioeconomic impact of innovation management and knowledge transfer through patents, licensing agreements, technology based new companies and collaborative associations.

JONÄ– VITKAUSKAITÄ– RAMANAUSKIENÄ–

PhD student and teaching assistant, Civil Society and Sustainability Research Group, Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Kaunas University of Technology. 
JonÄ— has experience working as an economic-social analysis consultant in various projects related to environmental policy. In addition to her doctoral research, she is currently also involved in other researches that analyse the environmental behaviour of individuals. JonÄ— also shares her knowledge by lecturing at Kaunas University of Technology.
Jonė studies individual travel behaviour. She is specifically interested in a way individuals choose commuting travel modes, and with her research, she aims to scientifically substantiate, test and evaluate an intervention model that would encourage people working in the city of Kaunas to reduce their car commuting trips. Jonė is interested in this topic, because changes in travel behaviour is the fastest way to a reduced ecological footprint of societies. Jonė’s research insights are extremely valuable for students and young entrepreneurs who are developing future urban mobility ideas and solutions. Therefore, she’s mentoring talents and teams during entrepreneurship promotion events, such as hackathons, ideation workshops.

ANA RODRIGUEZ PRIETO

Ana Rodriguez-Prieto is the CEO of WonderGene, a start-up based in Trento, Italy. Ana is a biologist and biochemist. In 2013, she obtained a PhD in Evolutionary Biology. From 2014 to 2018, during her post-doc, Ana co-leaded a project to perform genetic analyses directly in African tropical forests to study biodiversity. One of her passions is to perform genetic analyses outside of traditional laboratories. The results of her post-doc and her passion laid the foundations of WonderGene. Ana wants to democratized genetics by offering an easy genetic system, to perform these analyses where they are more needed.

MARTE C.W. SOLHEIM

Professor MARTE C.W. SOLHEIM is Head of the Stavanger Centre for Innovation Research, UiS Business School, and a public speaker on diversity and innovation. In her research, Solheim combines insights from organizational theory, innovation studies and economic geography. She is particularly interested in understanding how innovation is inspired when a variety of diverse knowledge intersect, and the contextual factors affecting this association. Solheim is actively engaged in the public debate on migration, diversity and innovation-related issues in Norway and is invited to speak at national diversity conferences as well as to national policy makers, political spheres and other institutions.

SILVIA DI ROSA

Graduated in Trento in Materials Engineering, mechanical sector, in 1999. Since 1999, for 15 years, I have worked at the Fiat Research Center as head of the Low Investment Technologies department.
I followed alternative fuel testing activities (biomethane, methane-hydrogen mixtures) on vehicle fleets (customers A22 and Dolomiti Energia), technological scouting and product benchmarking for Ferrari and Maserati.
Since 2013 I have been working at EnginSoft, based in Trento as a product manager. I am an Energy Certifier and I deal with digital transformation and issues related to Industry 4.0.
Since February 2020 I have been president of the Trento section of AIDIA (Italian association of women engineers and architects).
Since June 2022 I have been president of the Order of Engineers of Trento and of the Luigi Negrelli foundation.

SHIRIN ILKHANIZADEH

Shirin is the CEO and co-founder of Celluminova. She holds a Master of Science in biomedicine and a PhD in neuroscience with focus on stem cell biology. She did her postdoctoral studies at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) where she studied cancer stem cells in malignant brain tumors and has experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.
